A photo montage from #MagicCarpet was awarded the National Coordination Centre for Public Engagement NCCPE Images Competition 2018 Award for 'Culture Change’. With the award of art materials, Kai has been co-leading with PhD researcher Isabella Vainieri the 'Art + Science Creative Collisions' programme. This was an art club, and more! The sessions were open to all within and beyond King’s, whether researcher/ arts professional/ arts newbie/psychiatrist/ anyone interested in the myriad ways in which creativity/mental health, art/science can collide and create sparks. We drew, chatted, got engaged across disciplines in a fun and accessible way. The first workshop was held in December 2018, and outputs were shown off at the annual Xmas party at the Social, Genetic and Developmental Psychiatry Centre, and participants to the workshop made a clean sweep for the Best Art award! The second workshop was held to welcome Spring, in May 2019.
